Celestino Fernandez is a Distinguished Professor Emeritus of the UA Department of Sociology. He has studied, published, and taught courses on Mexican immigration, higher education, music traditions of the U.S.-Mexico borderlands, and happiness. In 2013 he gave the inaugural lecture in the College of SBS Downtown Lecture Series on the topic of “Pursuing and Finding Happiness.”
