David Yubeta is a master adobe maker and conservator. He learned his craft caring for his grandmother's adobe home in South Tucson. David is deeply concerned the dearth of skilled adobe craftsmen presents a risk to maintaining our earthen cultural resources and is committed to passing information on to those willing to pick up the torch. His gentle, encouraging style, integrity, and wealth of knowledge make him a popular trainer. David has won many heritage awards; he is very knowledgeable in adobe structures and has an uncanny ability to read what old buildings need to become healthy. He also has an extensive history of working well with apprentices over three decades.
