Bill Steen
Co-Director, The Canelo Project
Bill Steen and his wife are co-directors of The Canelo Project and co-authors of best-selling books on sustainable building techniques, including The Straw Bale House and Built by Hand. Since the 1980s his interests in ethnobotany and sustainable agriculture have connected him to the bacanora and lechugilla makers in Sonora, where he regularly leads tours and cultural exchanges.
