Additional seats for community members are available now. Registration will be open until all seats are filled, at which time we will meet our maximum capacity for community members. This seven-week course will use language as a lens into the human mind and brain, exploring how language and other mental abilities are based on a combination of genetic capacities, maturation, experience, and physical constraints. It will tackle how language science reflects basic philosophical issues concerning the mind and thought.

How to Register

Thank you for your interest in the Fall 2018 “Language, Mind and Brain” course, co-taught by Professors Noam Chomsky, Tom Bever, and Massimo Piattelli-Palmarini. We are happy to release additional seats for community members, starting Monday 8/13 at 3:30 p.m. Seats will be available until filled, at which time we will meet our maximum capacity for community members.

Refund policy

Refunds are available before 4 p.m. on Tuesday, October 16, 2018. A $25 administrative fee will apply.

Parking

The Sixth Street Garage is immediately south of the classroom building. The garage is on the south side of the campus between Park and Highland Avenues. The hourly charge is $2 before 5 p.m. and $1 after 5 p.m. Please be aware that higher flat-rate fees may apply on game days or on the days of other special events.
